Beer Advent Day 3: Private Brewery Ettl, Bavarian Forest

The Ettl private brewery in Teisnach in the Bavarian Forest has many years under its belt. The brewery was first mentioned in the village in 1543 and the ownership can be traced back to 1747. The Müller family brewed until 1896, when the brewery passed into the hands of the Ettl family. More than 480 years of brewing tradition - almost half a century in a small town in the Bavarian Forest!

A new start after difficult times

The last two years have not been easy for many breweries. We know the circumstances and don't want to go over them again now during Advent. Ettl Bräu also suffered - and managed the upheaval with the help of new owners.

The technology in the brewhouse was modernized and a new master brewer was hired. Since then, both the new technology and the master of the brewing kettles have helped to keep quality at a consistently high level.

New beers

The range has been streamlined - for the time being there are three varieties: light one, Keller Beer and Weiss Beer. The appearance of the beers has been completely redesigned and a strong link to the Bavarian Forest has been established. The labels with their striking animal motifs reflect the close connection between man and nature that characterizes this region.

We say: Very much for the good with the strong Keller Beer from Teisnach in the Bavarian Forest.
